《Visitor Guidelines and Regulations》

This is a privately owned museum designated as a historical monument by the city government. As a result, we aim to preserve our cultural heritage while ensuring the safety and quality of our visitors' experience. Please adhere to the following rules:

  • Lighting fireworks, chewing betel nuts, smoking (including electronic cigarettes), and eating food bought outside the premises are strictly prohibited within the museum (including the courtyard area).
  • To preserve the historical architecture, pets are not allowed in the museum (including the courtyard), except for guide dogs.
  • To preserve the quality of visits and the historical atmosphere of the designated monument, activities, such as wearing wedding dresses, costumes, academic regalia, masks, or engaging in cosplay require prior application and approval. Unauthorized photography, filming, or changing of outfits within the museum (including the courtyard) is prohibited. Entry for visitation will be declined in such cases.
  • Visitor areas are open depending on site conditions and activities. The Taoran House operates as a reservable space for events and is not regularly open to the public.
  • Please speak softly and refrain from laughing or shouting loudly during your visit. If your behavior affects the rights and enjoyment of other visitors, the museum reserves the right to refuse your entry. Be sure to follow the rules. If any damage is caused to the facilities, exhibits, or individuals in the museum, the museum reserves the right to seek compensation.
